Mykl Walsh and Richard Saunders are
looking for a few good men & women to volunteer to
become "Secret Agents" for Journey A Short Story.
Each volunteer will receive an official Secret Agent number from 001 to 100. Numbers will be assigned sequentially on a first come, first served basis starting with 001. You may volunteer by sending an email to myklwalsh@yahoo.com with "SA Volunteer" in the message line. The time and date stamp will be used to determine the order of entries. Once we have 100 Agents on board, later applications will be held in que. New agents will not be accepted, unless a current agent fails to complete a mission and needs to be replaced. The first mission for these agents is to become an expert on the Journey / SecretAgentMan Short Story / novel in progress. We explain below why this is an important mission and why your assistance can be of great value to us. During the pre-publication phase, numerous review copies of Journey were distributed for free on the Goodreads website. Goodreads is a community of over Two-Million highly discerning readers and the website has become an important location for marketing and generating reviews. These people can make or break a book or an author. Some of the readers who won the free copies and reviewed Journey, A Short Story didn't "get it". This wasn't entirely unforeseen. We knew that our book was fairly complicated and that anyone who comes across it and does a "cold read", without knowing any of the background information may become lost in the complexities. But we wanted people to do these "cold-reads" so we could gather intelligence from their blind take on the project. Journey has many more volumes to come and knowing how readers react to it, without them knowing the "whole story" will help us improve future volumes. Now that we have reached the official publication date, we need lots of reviews from people who do "get it". The cold-read experimental phase is over now. What this population didn't know is that the most intriguing parts of this project are the connections to real-life events and people. Having solid knowledge of this background information is, in many cases, the difference between believing that it is just a hard to understand fiction or knowing that it is a groundbreaking work. To fully appreciate this book, it is important to know and believe that the Don Breen character really is Dan Brown and that the events described in the 1998 chapter Really Did Happen in real life. It's the same for William Wilde - that story is about an actual encounter (and followup activities) concerning former Massachusetts governor Bill Weld. The Mark Bayliss character is TV producer Mark Burnett and Daniel Trask is of course Donald Trump. The Columbine Memorial story also happened as detailed. Any one of these stories taken by itself is probably worthy of note; but it is only when you realize that they were all orchestrated by one person - in furtherance of a fifty year long quest inventing and pursuing "method-writing" that it becomes something that can rightly be called groundbreaking. These stories are not the end, but the beginning. Other stories, both true and fictional will be revealed in future volumes. The authors have vowed to not publish Volume II unless the first Volume is a success. If we never publish another Volume, the entire novel (along with all of the evidence supporting the claims behind it) will be contained in the secret underground New Hampshire geocache, waiting for some future generation to find it. Anyone who considers volunteering for the "Secret Agent" position agrees to spend the time necessary, not only reading the book, but examining the evidence also. Read the pages on this website, especially This One and come to your conclusion. Ask questions (write to myklwalsh@yahoo.com) and possibly even communicate with other agents to compare notes and bounce ideas around - we will set up a discussions thread on Inkshares Goodreads Group to facilitate this option. The end game for this mission is for Highly Informed Readers and supporters of this project to write reviews for the book on Journey's Amazon page and the Goodreads page. This will help inform the greater community of readers who rely on informed and knowledgeable reviews to decide if they wish to read this book. Reviews posted by people who chose to become subject matter experts on this book will be so much better than the uninformed reviews from the "cold-readers". We aren't asking Anyone to take our word for anything here - if you become a highly-informed reader and Then decide that this is all a scam, we expect you to post that in your review. We are highly confident however that the closer people look into the claims being made, the better these claims look. We don't know if people can handle the truth behind this book or not - but the truth needs to come out. No one is going to take the authors word for it - that's why we need independent "Agents" to get informed and get the truth out there. Are you up to that challenge? If so, we would be forever grateful for your service! This mission is sooooo critical, it might make the difference between this book becoming a success or getting lost in the maze of 5,000 books that get published every day. Please consider helping us stand out from that crowd! Some of you know one or both of the authors personally and already have a good amount of knowledge regarding the background here, so your learning curve is not as steep as everyone else. We hope some of you will step up first and post the earliest reviews. Who wants to be a "Secret Agent?" Kind regards, Mykl Walsh & Richard Saunders |
